Covenant rings use genuine Cubic Zirconia and Swarovski crystal to achieve the brilliant, diamond-like sparkle found in many of their designs. In addition, they sometimes incorporate genuine stones such as tiger eye, onyx, opal, garnet, amethyst, ruby, sapphire, and emerald. Stones are hand set, often using prong settings similar to those used in fine gold jewelry rather than relying heavily on glue.

Craftsmanship Beneath the Surface

True quality begins beneath the surface. Each ring begins as a brass-alloy or sterling silver casting that is hand polished before entering the plating process. Covenant rings undergo a detailed three-stage electroplating process—first copper, then nickel, and finally pure gold or precious rhodium that is electronically bonded to the surface of the ring.

During production, every ring is inspected throughout the plating process. After the copper layer is applied, rings are carefully examined again to ensure the surface is flawless. If any imperfections are found, they are returned for additional polishing before continuing through plating. This attention to detail helps create the beautiful finish Covenant rings are known for.

Sterling Silver Options

Some Covenant rings are crafted from .925 sterling silver, the highest standard used in jewelry. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver blended with 7.5% copper for durability. These rings are finished with precious rhodium plating, giving them the appearance of white gold or platinum while helping prevent tarnishing.
